Day 01 :
Belgrade

Upon your arrival at Nikola Tesla International Airport in Belgrade, our local representative will be there to greet you and facilitate your transfer to the hotel. You will have the rest of the day to relax and explore at your own pace. Belgrade, characterized by its European essence intertwined with Oriental influences, serves as an ideal destination for a weekend retreat, boasting numerous intriguing sights and attractions. The city is renowned for its remarkable architecture, lively nightlife, budget-friendly shopping, and a flourishing cultural landscape. As one of Europe’s ancient cities, positioned at the crossroads of East and West, the capital of Serbia is a vibrant mosaic of various cultures and styles, creating a captivating and exotic ambiance. The historical richness of Belgrade is prominently displayed throughout the city, especially at the historic Belgrade Fortress, while a wide array of cultural events and attractions consistently draw visitors from across the continent.

After enjoying breakfast, the panoramic sightseeing tour of Belgrade will begin, featuring a variety of significant sites. Participants will have the opportunity to see New Belgrade, the Gardos Tower, and the charming old town of Zemun along the Danube River. The tour will also include Dedinje, an affluent area of the city, as well as key institutions such as the Parliament, the Presidency, and the Belgrade Waterfront. A walking tour through the Knez Mihajlova pedestrian zone, the central area of Belgrade, will lead to the historic Kalemegdan fortress. Furthermore, the tour will encompass a visit to the St. Sava Temple, a major Serbian Orthodox church located on the Vračar plateau. This church was envisioned as the bishopric seat and the main cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Church, with architects Bogdan Nestorović and Aleksandar Deroko selected after a failed competition in 1926. It is recognized as one of the largest Eastern Orthodox church buildings and ranks among the largest churches worldwide, featuring a prominent dome inspired by the Hagia Sophia.

Breakfast

The journey commences in the morning with a departure from Belgrade, leading to the picturesque town of Novi Sad. At the center of Novi Sad lies Liberty Square, a spacious area flanked by elegant buildings from the late 19th century. Visitors can admire the Catholic Church of the “Holy Name of Mary” and learn about the National Theater through its intriguing history. Stroll through the town’s oldest streets—Pašićeva, Zmaj Jovina, and Dunavska—culminating in the serene environment of “Dunavski Park,” a preserved natural haven. The excursion continues to the Petrovaradin Fortress, a prominent symbol of Novi Sad, perched on the banks of the Danube River. The tour then proceeds to Sremski Karlovci, a town recognized as a spiritual and cultural hub for Serbs during the Austro-Hungarian era. Visitors can explore the stunning baroque city center, featuring architectural highlights such as the Patriarchal Residence, the Orthodox Saint Nicholas Church, the First Serbian Grammar School, the Roman Church of the Holy Trinity, the Four Lions Fountain, and the Chapel of Peace. The local wine cellars reflect a long-standing winemaking tradition in the region, offering delightful wines that come with captivating stories, perfect for savoring during the tasting experience. After a fulfilling day, the group will return to Belgrade in the evening.
