The tour culminates at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, an autonomous entity within Rome and the epicenter of the Catholic Church, where guests have the opportunity to visit the basilica and its museums. In the evening, a transfer to Trastevere is included, a vibrant district known for its quaint traditional dining establishments.

Breakfast

Free day. You can enjoy the charm of this city. Free time to explore and discover memorable places.

Breakfast
Day 04 :
Florence

We will travel to Florence, the capital of Tuscany. Upon our arrival, we will make a brief stop at the Michelangelo viewpoint, where we can take a photograph that captures one of the most breathtaking views of the city. Subsequently, we will participate in a sightseeing tour guided by a local expert. Florence is celebrated as the birthplace of the Renaissance and is among the most visited cities in Italy, associated with influential figures such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Raphael. Notable sites on our itinerary include the Gothic cathedral (Duomo), the ancient Ponte Vecchio with its renowned goldsmith shops, and Signoria Square, the political nucleus of the city, featuring a medieval town hall.

Breakfast
Day 05 :
Genoa

Today, we proceed with our journey to PISA. We will board a small tourist train that will take us to the Piazza Dei Miracoli, where we will have the opportunity to admire the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. Following this visit, we will make our way to the Ligurian Coast, known for its stunning coastlines, among the most beautiful in Europe. Our destination is CINQUE TERRE, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, consisting of five villages that are largely inaccessible by road and rely on fishing and tourism for their livelihood. We will arrive by train, with tickets included, at one of these picturesque towns (typically VERNAZZA, although on busier tourist days, we may visit Manarola or Corniglia, which are similar yet less crowded). There will be time allocated for lunch. Afterward, we will take the train to LEVANTO, where we will transfer to a bus to continue our journey to GENOA. Please note that the train service to Cinque Terre is a regular local railway, not a tourist-specific service. Due to the possibility of full trains (reservations are not available), it may be necessary at times to stand rather than sit. In such instances, we recommend walking to the monumental site, which is approximately 900 meters away.

Breakfast
Day 06 :
Milan

Our journey will take us to the nearby city of Santa Margherita Ligure, where we will then travel to Portofino, one of the most prestigious locations in Europe. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely seaside walk and some free time. After lunch, we will continue to Milan, a bustling northern city where we recommend visiting the cathedral. Please be aware that winter weather conditions may occasionally disrupt the boat service to Portofino; if this occurs, transportation will be arranged via urban microbus, which may offer inferior service and result in longer wait times.

Breakfast
Day 07 :
Verona

Today, we will visit one of the most stunning scenic regions in Europe, the Italian lakes. Our first destination is Lake Orta, situated in the well-preserved medieval town of Orta de San Giulio. We will take a train to the center of this historic town, followed by a boat ride to the Island of San Giulio, a small island on the lake that is home to a monastery. Afterward, we will head to Lake Maggiore, making a stop in Stresa, where we can choose to explore the Borromean Islands, particularly Isola Bella, famous for its gardens and palace (which is closed during the winter). We will then have time for lunch. Following lunch, we will proceed to Verona. Please note that during the winter months, the train service to Orta is not available; therefore, access to the medieval town will require a walk of about 800 meters from the bus parking lot.

Breakfast
Day 08 :
Venice

Before we head to Venice, we will take the time to visit Verona, famously known as the city of Romeo and Juliet. We expect to reach Venice at approximately 1:00 PM. The program features a boat trip to St. Mark’s Square, where a local guide will accompany us on a walking tour of the picturesque City of Canals. There will also be a chance to admire the renowned glass craftsmanship of Murano. Following this, you will have some leisure time, which could include a gondola ride. Our accommodations will be located in the Mestre district.

Breakfast
Day 09 :
Perugia

Our journey today takes us to Padua, a significant site for many pilgrims, where we will have the opportunity to visit the Basilica of the Saint. Afterward, we will head towards the Adriatic coast to discover San Marino, an independent microstate situated atop a robustly fortified mountain. We will pause for lunch before continuing our route through the charming mountainous countryside, crossing the Apennines to arrive at Gubbio, a town that boasts exceptional preservation, highlighted by the Palace of Consuls and its 12th-century cathedral. We will then proceed to Perugia.

Breakfast
Day 10 :
Rome

Known as the City of Chocolate, PERUGIA is a city with a profound historical background. Together with a local guide, we will ascend its slopes that navigate the rocky outcrop, allowing us to appreciate its beautiful squares and stone streets. Afterward, we will travel to ASSISI, where we will have the chance to enjoy lunch and visit the Basilica of St. Francis. Finally, we will make our way to ROME, arriving in the afternoon.
